I don’t think life was ever meant to be fair. There is too much at stake, too many involved. Everyone has a role and a responsibility and they are all intertwined. God, the devil, demons, angels and Jesus are at the center of our creation. It was something that began before time and something with no end. Humans are just a part of it that came in between. I believe that what happens in life is really just a small part of something so much larger than we can comprehend. And yet this small part is the nucleus and therefore also more important than we can comprehend.

I think we struggle through life because it is necessary to understand what only struggle can teach. I believe God loves us so much that He wants us to see who we can become after the struggles and because of them. He wants us to experience the power that is change, the reward that is faith. I think the devil hates us more more than we fathom and he wants us to suffer because he enjoys our pain and does not have the strength to stop himself even though he knows God uses struggles to better us who he loathes. And he hates himself because of it, which makes him detest us even more. It seems all so pointless until we understand that it’s not about winning or losing. It never has been. The devil loses when when Heaven gains and God loses when Hell gains. They both knew from the beginning neither was going take all.

What is at play is love. And what is love, really? It is something that cannot be defined or explained. It is multiple actions that express themselves in anger, compassion, kindness, discipline, charity, faith and multiple other actions. And sometimes we get it wrong. We discipline too much. We give more than we can afford emotionally and financially. We are too compassionate when we should be stern. We act out in anger towards others because we care, but without following up with peace and reason. And we love in faith, but fail in it when it doesn’t provide as we would like. We struggle because life can’t be anything else but difficult. We fail because we need to fail. We struggle because everyone else involved either needs us to or wants us to. God wants us to grow. The angels want to serve their Father. The devil wants us to suffer. The demons want to serve their master.  And Jesus needs us to struggle because if we are not lost in the dark, we will never seek the light. And it is love and its opposite that is at the center, the nucleus that we are. Because we love we have access to everything. We can acknowledge and speak with God. We can choose to sacrifice, live in faith, forgive and show mercy. We can also sin, hate and serve the god of our choice. And between those is life, the middle somewhere between Heaven and hell. And that is where struggle will either save or destroy us. And that outcome is determined by who and what we love during the struggle.
