Mindset: A Piece Of The Mind Is Not The Path To Peace

Imagine knowing every aspect of creativity and that of logic as well. Which of the two would you choose as to how you live? How do you know the right path if they both make sense to you but for different reasons? Knowing all aspects means that they are equal in the mind, heart, and soul. Wouldn’t absolute knowledge be a curse that leaves us immobile? How does one choose between two rights when we can only follow one with true conviction? Do we follow a creative path or a reasonable and logical one? When there is no wrong choice then there is no direction.

Because we are not given absolute knowledge, we are allowed a path to choose, a destiny that has meaning and fulfillment. Each of us is given talents and intellect because it takes both to survive. But we are not given them equally. One is always stronger than the other. One offers a fulfillment that the other does not. There will be a moment in life when we will have to choose. Although neither choice offers a guarantee of monetary success, the right one does guarantee a degree of happiness that the other does not. That feeling is known as exultation.

Purpose is linked to contentment. We are not in harmony when we choose a path for safety, security or false desires. We may find elements such as monetary gain, recognition or power when we do, but those are empty idols with no fulfilling properties. As such, we continue chasing more of what we already have to fill the continuing void. Harmony rests only in our natural inclination to follow what we feel in our hearts be it logic or creativity and not what makes sense in our minds. Either way we choose, our soul will follow even in the absence of harmony.  But that harmony is our map to where we are to go. The idea of happiness may be in the mind, but the reality of it lies within our choice to follow the path that was laid out for us before we were even born.

Mindset: Don’t Be The Missing Link

Imagine you were created to achieve one incredible accomplishment. This one achievement is a link in a chain that began long before you were born and will continue long after you are gone. Your link is every bit as important as the ones before it and just as crucial for the next. Our understandings and meanings of life, as well as our ability to grow as one, are in this chain that links past to present, present to future and future to comprehension.

This chain is unique in the sense that it does not need to be connected by each link to be functional. So each time there is a missing or broken link, a new section begins leaving a void between the two sections. Because of this, as the chain stretches out across time, there are gaps between the missing and broken links. And once they are broken or missing, they cannot be replaced. Time does not reverse and allow us to repair the chain. What should be there is not and only a dead space is left in its place.

Each time we fail in our hopes, give up, take an innocent life, corrupt what is good or pure and fail to achieve our purpose in life, we are not achieving our one task that is to be our accomplishment, but instead destroying a link and leaving that dead space between links. As a result, what we were supposed to contribute to life never materializes and future links to connect with are absent.

Each link is knowledge, wisdom and an accomplishment that the next generation uses to further the chain. Each of us is responsible to add a link to the chain while also helping others to do the same. Missing links leave us lost and disconnected from the past and each other. So when we ask ourselves why our lives seem to have no reason to them, perhaps it is because we are the start of a new section of chain that was broken because of someone else’s failure to provide the link we needed to connect with. If we can all just remember how important our contribution to the chain is, then undoubtedly we can create one that is never broken.

The Elements of A Miracle

Everything in existence is made up of different elements coming together at different times to form a specific creation. There is always a process, a chain of inputs and actions that produce the smallest of insects to the largest of solar systems. We are constantly surrounded by these seemingly never-ending processes and rarely realize their significance.

We have become so numb to the miracles all around us that we don’t even see ourselves as a miraculous creation any longer. Our struggles, disappointments, and losses become our primary focus while we ignore the awesomeness of our own existence, simply take it for granted.

There is limited understanding and agreement as to our origins but there should be no disagreement as to the knowledge that we and our natural surroundings are incredible creations filled with wonder. Our ideas, drive, passion, love and trust are all just small parts of us that we use to further creation. The significance of existence is to use it. We are the elements that are used to fill tomorrows with new miracles.

To focus only on ourselves, steals what we can we can bring forth to those tomorrows that are created for us. Progress is a creative process that derives from pushing our negative selves out of focus and our desire to overcome within it. If we do this while acknowledging that we are a miracle, then we can always know that what we create becomes one too.

New Mindset: Playing With Fire

PLAYING WITH FIRE

What is your passion? There is one inside all of that burns with an unquenchable thirst. We feel it in times of high emotions and in the lows of despair. It’s a feeling, a voice, a desire and a sense rolled into one. It never leaves us and it never rests in peaceful slumber. It’s a part of us that we may not have yet met. But it’s there in every part of us

Our passion is as much a part of us as bones and blood. It lives, it grows and it dies within us . It knocks on our souls’ doors and begs entry into our thoughts. To know it is as simple as opening a door. With it come fear and delight, secrets and plight. A realm it is that is more than who we are, but one of who we never believed before we could be.

Dare to dream so that when death comes for you, it will know that you lived with purpose in every valuable moment given to you. Show it that you gave to life what only you could. Tell it that you heard the voice and you followed. You persevered even when darkness stole the light, you opened the door, you kept the fight.

Once passion is lit, it never burns out, never runs out of fuel. It builds rightenous and destroys maladies. It’s the sixth sense that each of us can unlock and free. Find it! Live up to it! Die with it! We are never fully whole until we find it. Every part of us is tied to it and without its discovery, we have existed having never truly lived at all.

Unite And Conquer

We are divided in so many ways and history shows us that we have always been. What is the cost of such division and what do we gain or lose because of it? What do we do in the name of these divisions and do they save us or destroy us?

Does anyone believe that slavery is acceptable? And by this, I mean would they be willing to not only have slaves, but be one themselves. When men and women in the world took actions to eradicate slavery throughout history, there was always opposition. There were wars, murders and uprisings on both sides, but time would show us all that it was wrong. And along with the eradication of slavery also came the end of two sides. Countless people suffered and died because of two sides that would eventually be irrelevant and erased. Where is the common sense in such divisions?

We allow race, religion, political ideals and arbitrary lines in the sand to divide us. But how do another’s views actually affect us? Does it take away your right to practice your views or worship the way you choose? No. But it will divide us because we want to be right because we want to win because we are arrogant. We are prideful choosing pride over love, friendship, mutual respect and open-mindedness We divide and that division conquers us and defeats our unity.

What must it take for humanity to learn that who we are, what we are, is simply our identities our belief systems and not something that is given or taken by others? If we ask ourselves what we consider to be fair and just to both sides and then act accordingly, division begins to evaporate. Differences in opinion do not divide us; lack of acknowledgment and respect for differing opinion creates division. The price for harmony always comes at the cost of humility which favors no side.

Lost Meaning to the World

Mindset

When we think of our lives, our place in humanity and our world, we tend to think of it on a broad scale that encompasses all that we do and experience as an ordinary ritual of sorts. But what if that world we focus so heavily on each day causes us to lose sight of so much more.

Consider that all life, each individual entity, is a world all its own, made up of countless functions and processes in constant motion. We must realize that life is happening in each ability, every talent, each characteristic—every second. Examine them as though they are the only thing in your world. See them as a sole entity, full of energy and vitality and become enlightened as to the extraordinary genius of your creation.

Within each thought that becomes an idea, every ability that becomes a creation and each characteristic that brings interaction with others, there is an opportunity to discover that perhaps the meaning of life is simply that life has meaning. The hours we are given to live are our opportunity to find that meaning in each and every aspect of our lives.
